Such A Pretty Face by Caroline Aaron

Edited and designed digital media aspects for an online workshop production of Caroline Aaron's Such A Pretty Face as part of Stephen F. Austin State University's Festival of New American Plays in April 2020. Design elements include a show portal of overlapping grayscale numbers representing weights 99-400, fluctuating weight numbers to simulate standing on scales, a top-of-show model montage to demonstrate smothering beauty standards, and an end-of-show icons montage to demonstrate leadership disregarding beauty standards.
Top of show model sequence to demonstrate the smothering of social beauty standards. Show portal of grayscale numbers 99-400, a wide variety of common weights, to symbolize the constant obsession with and oppression of numbers on a scale. Generated by a combination of Isadora (counting), Vectorworks (portal/border trim), Premiere (layout/titles/editing), QLab (montage playback), and OBS (livestream).
Near top of show sequence of the characters stepping on scales. Generated by a combination of Isadora (counting), Vectorworks (portal/border trim), Premiere (layout/titles/editing), QLab (montage playback), and OBS (livestream).

Near end of show montage sequence featuring cycling numbers and images of powerful women. Generated by a combination of Isadora (counting), Vectorworks (portal/border trim), Premiere (layout/titles/editing), QLab (montage playback), and OBS (livestream).

Shrink and fade out counting numbers; fade out show portals (border trim) 3, 2, and 1; push forward Zoom to fill screen; fade out. Generated by a combination of Isadora (counting), Vectorworks (portal/border trim), Premiere (layout/titles/editing), QLab (montage playback), and OBS (livestream).
Final portion of the end-of-show role model montage of powerful women, including the cast, to inspire and resolve. Generated by a combination of Isadora (counting), Vectorworks (portal/border trim), Premiere (layout/titles/editing), QLab (montage playback), and OBS (livestream).
Complete 6-minute end sequence, including clips 3-5.
